About Key Largo Beach
Key Largo is the first of the Florida Keys driving south from Miami, and its best-known beaches are inside John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, the first undersea park in the United States. Cannon Beach and Far Beach are small, calm, man-made beaches on Largo Sound, popular for snorkeling, with the coral reef itself offshore. Water is warm year-round. Rip currents are Florida’s deadliest beach hazard, so check the safety flag and rip-current risk above, follow posted flags, and swim near a lifeguard.
