About Holmes Beach
Holmes Beach is the middle of Anna Maria Island's three cities, between Anna Maria and Bradenton Beach. Its centerpiece is Manatee Public Beach, where Manatee County lifeguards are on duty every day of the year, and the soft Gulf sand runs the length of town. Water is warm most of the year and cool in winter. Rip currents are Florida’s deadliest beach hazard, so check the safety flag and rip-current risk above, follow posted flags, and swim near a lifeguard.
