About Fort Pierce Beach

Fort Pierce is the St. Lucie County seat, where Fort Pierce Inlet cuts through Hutchinson Island. Jetty Park, on the south side of the inlet, has a sandy beach beside the rock jetty, popular for fishing. Fort Pierce Inlet State Park sits across the inlet. Water is warm most of the year and mild in winter. Rip currents are Florida’s deadliest beach hazard, so check the safety flag and rip-current risk above, follow posted flags, and swim near a lifeguard.
