About Vilano Beach

Vilano Beach is a small, laid-back beach community just north of St. Augustine, across the Tolomato River via the Usina Bridge. Its Atlantic beach is quieter than St. Augustine’s, with a county lifeguard tower in summer and the Vilano Beach Town Center a short walk inland. The water is warm from late spring through fall and cool in winter. Rip currents are Florida’s deadliest beach hazard, so check the safety flag and rip-current risk above, follow posted flags, and swim near a lifeguard.
