About Ponte Vedra Beach

Ponte Vedra Beach is an upscale, largely residential community in St. Johns County just south of Jacksonville Beach, best known as the home of TPC Sawgrass and The Players Championship. Its beaches are wide and uncrowded, with Mickler’s Landing Beachfront Park as the main public access, where county lifeguards are on duty in summer. The water is warm from late spring through fall and cool in winter. Rip currents are Florida’s deadliest beach hazard, so check the safety flag and rip-current risk above, follow posted flags, and swim near a lifeguard.
