About Atlantic Beach

Atlantic Beach is the northernmost of the three Jacksonville Beaches towns, in Duval County beside Naval Station Mayport. It's a quiet, residential stretch of wide, firm Atlantic sand, with the shops and restaurants of Beaches Town Center at its southern edge, shared with Neptune Beach. Like the rest of Northeast Florida, the water is warm and swimmable from late spring through fall and cool in winter. Rip currents are Florida’s deadliest beach hazard, so check the safety flag and rip-current risk above, follow posted flags, and swim near a lifeguard.
