About Cape San Blas Beach
Cape San Blas is the remote, low-key elbow of the St. Joseph Peninsula in Gulf County, across St. Joseph Bay from Port St. Joe. It's known for wide, quiet beaches, storm-sculpted pine stumps on the sand and leashed-dog-friendly shores, with St. Joseph Peninsula State Park at its northern tip. There are no lifeguards. Gulf water here is bath-warm in summer and cool in winter. Rip currents are Florida’s deadliest beach hazard, so check the safety flag and rip-current risk above, follow posted flags, and swim near a lifeguard.
