About Pensacola Beach
Pensacola Beach is the lively heart of Santa Rosa Island, with Casino Beach and its famous beach-ball water tower, the Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier and calm Quietwater Beach on the sound side. Santa Rosa Island Authority lifeguards cover the main beaches in season. Gulf water here is bath-warm in summer and cool in winter. Rip currents are Florida’s deadliest beach hazard, so check the safety flag and rip-current risk above, follow posted flags, and swim near a lifeguard.
