About Blue Mountain Beach

Blue Mountain Beach sits on Scenic Highway 30A in Walton County, known for some of the tallest dunes on Florida's Gulf coast. It's a laid-back 30A community with a public regional beach access and a South Walton Fire District lifeguard tower in season. Gulf water here is bath-warm in summer and cool in winter. Rip currents are Florida’s deadliest beach hazard, so check the safety flag and rip-current risk above, follow posted flags, and swim near a lifeguard.
