About WaterSound Beach

WaterSound is a planned beach community on the eastern stretch of Scenic Highway 30A in Walton County, just west of Alys Beach. Its beach has the same sugar-white sand and emerald water as its 30A neighbors, with a South Walton Fire District lifeguard tower in season. Gulf water here is bath-warm in summer and cool in winter. Rip currents are Florida’s deadliest beach hazard, so check the safety flag and rip-current risk above, follow posted flags, and swim near a lifeguard.
