About Henderson Beach
Henderson Beach State Park protects a stretch of undeveloped dunes and sugar-white sand on Destin's east side, a quiet break from the condos on either side. The park has no lifeguards, and since May 2026 drivers need an entry reservation. Gulf water here is bath-warm in summer and cool in winter. Rip currents are Florida’s deadliest beach hazard, so check the safety flag and rip-current risk above, follow posted flags, and swim near a lifeguard.
